Raipur, 24 October 2024// President Smt. Draupadi Murmu is set to visit Raipur on October 25. During her two-day stay on October 25 and 26, she will participate in various events in Raipur and Durg districts.
According to the schedule, President Smt. Murmu will arrive at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur via a special plane at 11:10 AM on Friday. She will then proceed to as a chief guest at AIIMS Raipur’s second convocation to be organised from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM. Following this she will head to Raj Bhavan Raipur arriving at 1:00 PM.
At 3:20 PM, the President will depart from Raj Bhavan to NIT Raipur to attend the 14th convocation as the chief guest. Afterward, she will visit Purkhauti Muktangan- a local museum showcasing lifestyle and culture of Tribal community where she will distribute the ninth installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, a program providing financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to 70 lakh women in the state.
President Smt Murmu will also engage with members of the tribal community during this visit. She is expected to return to Raj Bhavan at 6:30 PM with a reserved time from 7 PM to 7:30 PM for a scheduled program. The day will conclude with dinner and rest at Raj Bhavan.
On October 26, President Smt. Murmu will leave Raj Bhavan at 9:00 AM to visit Sri Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar, Raipur for ‘darshan’ and ‘aarti’. She will then travel to Raipur Airport and take a special helicopter to Bhilai to attend the fourth convocation of IIT Bhilai as chief guest from 11:05 AM to noon. After this event, she will return to Raipur Airport by helicopter at 12:55 PM and proceed to the Chief Minister’s residence office in Sector 24, Nava Raipur for a felicitation banquet. At 3:30 PM she will attend the fourth convocation at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Health Science and AYUSH University, Chhattisgarh, before returning to Raipur Airport at 5 PM for her departure to New Delhi.
